KMWorld Europe and Taxonomy Boot Camp London make strong European debut.
London, UK April 2026 — KMWorld Europe and Taxonomy Boot Camp London made a highly successful European debut on 14–15 April 2026, drawing more than 250 attendees from 29 countries and signalling growing momentum for knowledge management and taxonomy in the AI era.
Held at America Square Conference Centre in the heart of the City of London, the co-located events brought together knowledge managers, taxonomists, content strategists, and technology leaders for two days of high-impact insights, practical case studies, and cross-disciplinary networking. Sectors represented included accountancy and professional services, banking and finance, engineering, FMCG, government and public bodies, healthcare, higher education, law, travel and leisure, publishing, and retail. All-Access passes enabled attendees to move seamlessly between both conferences to make the most of keynotes, four conference tracks, workshops, the sponsor showcase, and networking opportunities.
Curated by Programme Chairs Dawn Brushammar and Helen Lippell, the conference agendas combined strategic thinking with real-world application. Speakers from organisations including the United Nations, Expedia, Indeed, Financial Times, Cancer Research UK, Vinted, Genentech, the Publications Office of the European Union, and the Royal College of Psychiatrists shared actionable approaches to managing and scaling organisational knowledge in increasingly complex digital environments.
Making its UK debut, KMWorld Europe expanded the reach of the long-running KMWorld conference, which has been held in the USA for nearly thirty years, focusing on knowledge sharing, collaboration, content discoverability, and business impact. Alongside it, Taxonomy Boot Camp London returned in person for the first time since 2019, offering in-depth sessions on taxonomies, metadata, and knowledge graphs, as well as practical guidance on governance, content organisation, enterprise search, and AI applications. The co-located format fostered cross-disciplinary learning and strengthened connections across related professional communities. AI was a unifying theme throughout, with sessions exploring how structured knowledge and content are becoming critical to innovation, efficiency, and enterprise-wide transformation.
Keynotes from Ben Clinch (Ortecha) and Noz Urbina (Urbina Consulting) set the tone, highlighting the rising importance of knowledge disciplines in shaping the future of AI. Both emphasised the growing recognition of taxonomy, governance, and content strategy as essential business capabilities.
